*Warning* If your car looks like this, covered in sand from the recent rain, DO NOT be tempted to rub it off, this will cause the paintwork to become scratched and swirl marked. The best way to remove the sand is with a multiple stage very thorough pre wash and rinse process followed by a detailed safe hand wash using the correct products and equipment. Luckily this customers Defender was not damaged where the sand has been touched on the bonnet. Being matt/satin paint finish that would be a difficult and expensive repair. Dedicated products including matte/satin specific shampoos and protective sealants. Snow foam doing its thing on the Porsche 911 Turbo S. The snow foam process is the part that gets the most attention. Not only does it look cool but it serves an important purpose. One of the first steps, it is sprayed on to the vehicle and allowed to dwell, lifting and loosening as much dirt and grime as possible. This is an important part of a safe wash process to reduce the risk of swirl marks and scratches cause by poor wash techniques. After being allowed to dwell it will be thoroughly rinsed and followed up by a detailed safe multi bucket hand wash. A bit of an Italian themed day with a pair of stunning Lamborghinis booked in with us by a new customer. The Lamborghini Urus: This was booked for our "Level 1 detail". After a thorough and detailed exterior safe wash and decontamination process the paintwork was given a single stage machine polish with a light cut to remove some minor scratches and swirl marks also enhancing the gloss and preparing the paint for a protective coating. Also included was a chassis rinse and light engine clean. Followed by a thorough vacuum and deep clean of the interior, leather cleaned and conditioner and hard surfaces deep cleaned and sanitised. The Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder: This one was treated to our "full valet". Following a safe and detailed exterior wash and decontamination, including a soft top clean and light engine clean, the paintwork was treated to a hand polish and wax to protect the paint for the coming winter. The interior was then given a thorough vacuum and deep clean back to perfect condition. I forgot to take before pictures this time but we will be back for another visit to this customer soon for some more vehicles and to maintain these two going forward. ___________________________ Availability..... 🔴 Now this one was a challenge from one of our regular customers. But one we accepted. A 2005 Toyota Hiace panel van in desperate need of some TLC. As you can see from the before pictures this van started out with heavily faded and oxidised paint, sign writing and glue residue that needed removing as well as ghosting marks left over from previous layers of singwriting. But after two long days of hard work it looks like a completely different van. 🔴 Machine polishing this van from the faded pink to deep glossy red was certainly a challenge. Being single stage paint that was already very thin and also fragile in places we had to be very careful. After multiple tests with pad and polish combinations we found one that would give acceptable results while reducing the risk of removing to much paint or even worse burn through it. 🔴 Although the paints condition limited how far we could safely go with it I am very happy with the outcome and most importantly our customer was also very happy. In our customers own words. "It looks like the van has had a full respray" 🔴 Check out the before and after pictures and let us know what you think. It's been a little while since I last posted on here. Another busy week finished off with a couple of mini valets. First up a rare Jeep Grand Cherokee Track hawk. This is 1 of only 20 in the UK and has a 6.2l supercharged V8. This was followed by the Mercedes Vito crew van. Both were booked for our popular mini valet. While working on these I noticed both had a heavy build up of road tar on the paintwork. So aswell as mini valets to both interior and exterior it was decided all tar needed to be carefully removed. If road tar isnt removed regularly the harsh chemicals within it can cause discolouring and damage to the paintwork and also ruin the look. One which adds increased levels of gloss, is highly hydrophobic and is even more durable offering longer protective lifespan. A recent upgrade for one of my regular and long term customers and just like his previous cars it was booked in straight away for my "exterior seasonal protection valet" After an in depth exterior deep clean and multistage decontamination the paintwork was hand polished to remove some very light swirl marks and to prepare the surface ready for a layer of high quality ceramic wax to be applied.
